Dear Valued Customers,
It has been an amazing ride with all of you. Looking back at the calendar year, we have realized how many events that have happened in the space of 1 year.
First up, we were the proud sponsors of the Nanyang Arts Festival. There were posters plastered all over the campus - you can view them here and here and here and there. In line with our continuous support for the local arts and music scene, we were also the de-facto upstream provider for Unpopular Radio, an independent, free-to-listen online radio station that dedicates 100% of its playtime to regional and local music artistes alike. We even rolled out our a low-budget no-frills CDN service for their recorded podcasts.
In early March 2008, we packed up and moved to our present location at New Tech Park. Our previous housing was based at Qala. For the first time too, we peeled off the steel cover off our core server to reveal the innards of the system that is delivering this very page that you are reading now. In the beginning, we were offering basic shared-hosting subscription packages that were catered for the budget-conscious customer in mind. As time went by, we started rolling out VPS solutions, server co-location services at two data centers, and systems integration consultation - all in the space of 1 year.
We always strive to ensure that our corporate site is user-friendly and device-friendly enough even for iPhones/iPods to view the site in its native resolution. Our site is based entirely on WordPress - we can never get tired of telling everyone how much we love it. We also pushed out Eaccelerator to help speed things up a little faster. We have also upgraded our old billing/account/support management/ticketing system and made it accessible to the public for general inquiries. We even have a Chinese name for our Mandarin-conversing partners/customers.
Unfortunately, as time goes by - our clientele base grew and we started to juggle concurrent tasks in mid-air. We realized that the company was growing far too fast for us to catch up with and we are running out of resources to match the current demand. What started out as a project initiated by 3 enthusiasts turned out to be a profitable business in the end but like with all fun rides, this one has to come to an end.
